Travelling is no longer a seasonal activity. People are moving around more and more and in so doing have to lug heavy bags and suitcases on a regular basis. Most suitcases and many bags have wheels so we don’t have to lift and carry heavy weights. However, sometimes it’s unavoidable and if not done in a functional way can lead to shoulder problems.

What is your strategy for lifting a heavy bag? Do you lift your shoulder as you lift your bag? This is a common mistake and believe it or not actually makes the bag feel heavier than it actually is.
