Sometimes we create habits we are completely unaware of. In my case, it had to do with shoulder checking in my vehicle. It was not a problem until about eight months ago when I realized I was straining my neck every time I shoulder checked. Being a Feldenkrais practitioner, I have the curiosity and the tools to figure out why I was having difficulties. When I stopped and examined what I was doing, I realized I was leaning against the seat when I turned. This restricted my shoulder and forced me to turn from the neck and try to take it farther than it was structurally able to move. Not a good thing, and over time the strain may have caused permanent neck problems. One simple change made all the difference. Watch the video to see what I did….
